Karen+Will//wedding

I was so excited for Karen and Will’s big day! I had gotten to know them pretty well after photographing their engagement and Karen’s bridal session, and I knew this was going to be such a special day with these two. We started off the morning at Goodlett Manor, where everyone was getting ready. Karen did a first look with her dad, which was super sweet and an idea I might have to steal for my wedding! After everyone was ready, Karen and Will went downstairs for their first look. Before they looked, they read letters to one another. If I wasn’t already tearing up at that point, then I definitely was when Will turned around to see Karen! Their moment reaffirmed how much I love photographing first looks- it’s such a sweet, intimate moment between the couple and it’s one of the few times that they get to be together where it is just the two of them on their wedding day! It was also sweet that once they did their first look, that their smiles did not leave their faces. They were so calm and happy, which is the best way to be on your wedding day! Once we did some bride and groom portraits, the whole bridal party braved the unseasonably chilly March weather for some beautiful group photos. And then everyone headed to West Jackson Baptist Church for the ceremony! So it’s not uncommon for me to tear up on the wedding day (like I stated earlier!) but I had to wipe away some tears while Karen and Will exchanged vows. These two have so. much. love. for each other, it’s crazy. I felt honored to be able to witness these two amazing people become husband and wife. They exited the church shaking their red pom-pons as the Ole Miss fight song played, and they got into their antique get-away car to head to the reception. They danced, ate cake, visited with friends and family and said farewell with a sparkler exit and a surprise visit by Karen’s dog Jeb! These two met when Karen’s friends told Will they had found the perfect girl for him. Their friends really knew what they were talking about, because these two compliment each other completely! So happy the two of you get to grow old with your perfect match!

Now that Karen and Will have tied the knot, I can share Karen’s beautiful bridal session! We did the photos at Goodlett Manor in Tupelo, where the couple held their reception. She looked absolutely stunning, and wore her ‘something borrowed,’ which was a beaded bridal belt that her cousin also wore for her wedding! My favorite part of the shoot was that her dog Jeb got to join in on the fun! He looked very handsome in his bowtie, and I’m so glad I was able to capture some sweet photos of Karen and her fur-baby! Be on the lookout for Karen and Will’s wedding photos, I’m also done editing them and will be sharing soon!

Heather+Blake//wedding

February 18th rolled around and brought absolutely GORGEOUS weather with it for Heather and Blake’s wedding day! This awesome couple was married outdoors in a beautiful evening ceremony, and it was so nice enough that you didn’t even need a jacket. It was perfect. Just like the love these two have for one another. I have had so much fun getting to know this couple when I met them for their engagement session last fall! Cheers to many happy years together, Heather and Blake!
