Abby and Lane had such an amazing wedding with tons of thoughtful details! For starters, Abby told me they started dating on the 17th, Lane proposed to her on the 17th of December, and they booked their wedding day on the 17th of June! She also told me months before the wedding that they were envisioning a industrial, warehouse type fairy tale wedding, and they had just that! It was held at the J.J. Rodgers Building, which was once a cotton mill but has since been renovated into an event space. It is beautiful! Abby included little details like the Bible that was given to her as a child, and Lane had his Alabama groom’s cake. They started their day with their first look at the Elvis Presley Birthplace, and continued with photos at the J.J. Rodgers Building. Abby even surprised Lane with *Alabama football season tickets*!! Their ceremony was one of so much love, and they were surrounded by their amazing families (I have known Abby’s and Lane’s families for a few years now, they are such great people!) The reception was so. much. fun. Everyone was up and dancing, including Abby’s adorable grandmother! She was rocking it! Also, Lane would come up to Abby throughout the night and she would take sips of her drink, it was so cute! So ladies, find a man that will carry your drink for you! :) They danced the night away together. Sometimes couples have a hard time making it to the dance floor at their wedding, but it was so much fun watching Abby and Lane have the time of their lives! They ended the night with a sparkler exit, which are my favorite! I wish Abby and Lane a lifetime of wonderful memories together!

Henry//baby lifestyle session

I’ve gotten to know Julia and Jonathan through my friend Ellie, and they just welcomed this sweet little boy into the world back in June. Henry looks a little older, but he only a few weeks old in these photos! Julia’s grandparents were a part of the session too, which is so fun to incorporate grandparents. They are the cutest family, and I’m so excited for them as they start their parenting journey!

Emily is a coworker of mine at the Journal, she works for one of the sister papers in Amory. I also took her daughter’s senior portraits a few years ago! I was honored when she asked me to photograph her and Alan’s intimate wedding! Emily looked like a timeless beauty, and Alan looked dapper in his gray suit. These two have such a natural ease together, smiling and laughing all of the time.

The wedding was held at the beautiful antebellum home called The Magnolias in Aberdeen. We got through all of the photos of Emily and Alan and their families before some storm clouds rolled in. A last minute decision was made to move the ceremony indoors, and Emily and Alan were so laid back throughout the whole day. They were just concerned about getting married surrounded by their closest friends and family, and a little rain didn’t change that! The ceremony was held on the landing of the staircase, and afterwards everyone enjoyed cake and hors d’oeuvres. It was a simply sweet day!

I hope all of your days are spent smiling and laughing with each other, Emily and Alan! I wish you all the best!
