Megan: Class of 2017 at Dexter High School
Megan is my cousin’s cousin, so she’s family! I’ve known her since she was a tiny little thing, and it was so much fun being able to take her senior portraits. I’m very excited to see where she goes in life, because she is going to be successful no matter what! Congratulations Megan!
I’m so excited to share my last wedding for 2016 (even though it’s not 2017, time has slipped away!). Patrice and Joseph had such a beautiful, moving wedding. It was so much fun getting to meet all of their friends and family who were there to support them, including Patrice’s uncle who walked her down the aisle in place of her late father. He saw her in her bridal gown and had tears in his eyes. And he wasn’t the only one! The doors opened at the beginning of the ceremony, and Joseph face lit up, before crying some happy tears. When they exhanged their extremely heart-felt vows, it was my turn to cry! They completed the ceremony with a broom jumping ritual, which was very neat to take photos of. The ceremony that followed was filled with beautiful flowers, yummy cake, and so much dancing and laughter! Joseph also rocked his wrestling belt (see below!). Patrice’s mother had an umbrella made for her second line (New Orleans-style parade!), and one of the panels had the Michigan State Spartans logo (we are both alumnae! Go green!). Overall, this was such an awesome day to be a part of! Thank you Patrice and Joseph!

I’m waaaaay overdue in posting Tyler-Paige and Cory’s gorgeous Southern summer wedding (even though it still kind of feels like summer!). So when I blogged about their engagement and bridal sessions, I mentioned they told me they wanted very Southern sessions. Their wedding also delivered on that front, with magnolias in the bouquets and mint juleps at the reception! They got married in the same church that the bride’s parents were married in, and exited the church in a flurry of lavender. The night ended with the lovely couple dancing along to the live band on the rooftop of Park Heights, surrounded by all of their friends and family. Tyler Paige and Cory are so sweet together, and I wish them many happy years together!
