Liza+Johnny//wedding
Liza and Johnny got married on Labor Day weekend in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and you guys. It was the most magical day ever. The day began at Loft 310, a beautiful rooftop venue in downtown Kalamazoo. Johnny and his groomsman relaxed and watched the episode of The Office where Jim and Pam get married, and Liza got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids, two sisters, mother and mother-in-law. Their first look was on the rooftop, and it was such a sweet moment between these two people, who just adore each other. They are high school sweethearts, by the way! (And I've known Liza for a few years now, her sister Kelsey is one of my best friends!) Their dogs Brinkley and Ginger ran out to meet them for a few portraits, and then we captured a few more before a big storm rolled through. Everyone went inside to where the reception was being held, and we captured some beautiful bridal party and family photos. The clouds parted and the sun started shining right as the ceremony began, it was perfect timing! It was such a thoughtful, meaningful ceremony that was very 'them.' One of their best friends was their officiant, they had their siblings each do a reading, and they wrote their own vows. And then they walked out as husband and wife with their dog! At the start of the reception, Liza and Johnny and each of their parents greeted each guest as they came in, it was so neat to see that. They had guests travel from all over, even as far as Sweden! Johnny's brother, Liza's two sisters, and Liza's father gave toasts and people were laughing and shedding some happy tears. The couple and their guests danced the night away. It was seriously the most perfect day, and it was so hard picking just 100 photos for their highlights. Congratulations Liza and Johnny!
